CANCELED - Georgia O'Keefe Drink and Draw @ The Red Chair Cafe

  • The Red Chair Cafe 337 E 4th Ave Anchorage, AK, 99501 United States (map)

Creating inspired artwork surrounded by friends while savoring delicious food and drink is at the heart of every Drink and Draw event.  The Red Chair Café has partnered with Master Illustrator Stephanie Woods to bring you a night of drinks, food, and artistic exploration.

The evening will start with a Southwest inspired pre-fixe menu crafted by the culinary team at The Red Chair Café and inspired by still-life painter Georgia O'Keeffe.

Once dinner is finished, it will be time to create your own piece of artwork inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe during a convivial and encouraging guided art experience led by local artist and instructor Stephanie Woods.

Get your tickets in advance by stopping by The Red Chair Café or calling 270-7780

$125 in advance $150 at the door as room permits; ticket price includes the pre-fixe dinner with wine/beer parings, all art supplies, guided art lesson, and the piece produced by you. This is a 3-hour event and all participants under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All art supplies need for the class will be provided and all ability levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. You will leave the 3-hour event with a greater appreciation of art history, a piece of artwork you have created, and a wonderful dining experience full of laughter and fun.

Stephanie works predominantly in the area of mixed media, but is well known for her work in painting, drawing, illustration and mural work.  She is completing her Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and was just awarded the title of Master Illustrator.  Her current work is centered on the question “What inspires creativity?” and is writing and illustrating book called Me and Jean that is expected to be published in the Spring of 2016.
