Join us Friday November 6th for Our First Friday Event Featuring the Art of Amy Hunt
'What Was I' is a collection of things used up and thrown away, found itself in a junk store or antique shop. These objects were functional at one time and now have been re-purposed as a piece of whimsical art for your enjoyment. Amy works with various mediums and finds art fascinating with relentless possibilities. Most of this collection is constructed in multi mediums with an encaustic background (Hot Wax).
I have always found variety to be stimulating and a tool to unblock the mind. In my youth I wrote and directed plays, coordinated fashion design shows, design clothes and doll clothes, made dolls and paper dolls, built tree houses and go carts and later when we returned to the South I became passionate with dance. In my twenties I experienced the fast lane life as a competitive international ballroom dancer and instructor. In my thirties I received a bachelor degree in Science of Occupational Therapy. I pursued a fulfilling career as an occupational therapist up until retirement 2007. I launched a jewelry line 2011 and my first collection, The Love of Turquoise is on display in Arizona and Colorado. ~Amy Hunt
